History Rocks!

Drunk? Need a good laugh? Well, watch “The History Boys” directed by Nicholas Hytner, that stars Richard Griffiths, Clive Merrison, Frances de la Tour, Stephen Campbell Moore, and more. Sarah and I watched it last night, and it’s so the dog’s bollocks!

“The History Boys” is a British film that was adapted by Alan Bennett from his play of the same name, which won the 2005 Olivier Award for Best New Play and the 2006 Tony Award for Best Play.

The story takes place in a boys’ grammar school in Sheffield, in 1983, and it is about a group of misfits who have recently attained the highest ever A-level scores and are hoping to enter Oxford or Cambridge, taking an entrance exam in History.

“The History Boys” is just a bloody hilarious, witty, and smart movie that you must see! As Eddie Izzard would say, “In a nighttime tele kind of way…” And the twist at the end will really stun you since you’re not expecting it. I really enjoyed it, and highly recommend it. ***FOUR 1/2 STARS***
