The 29th Olympic Games in Beijing is finally over, a true marvel to behold, and the Closing Ceremony on Sunday was just as spectacular as the Opening Ceremony! I cannot believe it’s over, I really enjoyed watching all the Olympic events and I’ve practically been up for 16 day straight… (-;
Surprisingly, Team GB did quite well and finished fourth on the Medal Table, and their achievements was such great momentum for the next Olympics; something I’m looking forward to. But, the only part I didn’t like about Closing Ceremony was the ‘Handover’ part to London at all, and I especially cannot believe that Brainless Boris is London Mayor and representing us. And I so hated the 8 min. or so London part of the ceremony: there’s so much more to London than a brand spanking new, ‘Transformers’ Red Bus, yobs, and David Beckham himself! Trust me…
London IS utterly a creative, humourous, funky, and edgy place to live that’s SO diverse, historic, and modern at the same time, and I strongly think London 2012 should use these things to build it into the Opening and Closing Ceremonies… That would be the dog’s bollocks! But, I hope they take note on this and not screw it up, and not make it embarrassing to be a Londoner like ‘Handover’ in Beijing.
Anyway, I can’t wait for the London 2012 Olympic Games b/c I really want to volunteer for the games and meeting people from all over world. And I think will just hopefully be a brilliant experience!
