23 June 2007 – On that Saturday we didn’t really have a Family Night b/c it was the day before my grandfather (mum’s dad) was leaving to go on his holiday, and some of mum’s relatives just showed up to say goodbye to my grandfather. It is so one of the damn buggers of life I loathe: when people just decide to show the day before you have to travel, especially the evening before and without calling before hand too! The guests finally left around 22:30…
Anyway, no one had even ate dinner b/c mum had barely started cooking when the guests showed up, so poor mum began frantically hurrying to finish making dinner for us, but it was well worth the wait. Mum finished making dinner around 00:30, and we all couldn’t wait to eat. Mum made Biryani: a rice dish with meat and potatoes; mum made it quite a lot more spicier than she usually makes any food, but it was really good nonetheless. Despite us all shedding tears from the spices, THE BIRYANI WAS BLOODY BRILLIANT!
