24 June 2007: On this day my grandfather (mum’s dad) left to go for his holiday. At about 85, my grandfather is my only surviving grand parent, and he’s surprising still quite active being at least 6FT. tall and always stands straighter than a tree. Probably b/c he’s a British Empire decorated WWII veteran and was in the army for like 30 years…
He is such a loving person, and he has never forgotten to send us four kids a birthday card every year wherever we may be in the world; he’s so great, he always sends our birthday cards about 2 weeks before our birthday just to make sure that we get it on time. I am just praying that my grandfather is safe and in good health for the next several months, and I hope he comes home safely after his holiday…

Yes he is awesome. We should all get him on the phone soon so he can talk to us. I'm waiting for my money lecture, so might as well get it over and done with soon. :p
